Play it Loud

Every now and then you find yourself missing the things you used to do but for some reason or another you’ve ceased to perform. And here you are, staring at your old guitar deciding whether or not you should play it again. You know what it’s  like to spend your entire afternoon researching Coldplay songs and playing them over and over again until they’re forever burned into your brain. Yet for some reason, you are not playing anymore. Have you grown old and outgrown your dreams of someday performing on stage? Or have you simply given up on missing that high F# note every single time?

Now here’s the thing… Those never-ending hours you spent playing have shaped you in ways you haven’t really thought of. It has made you listen to music differently, sometimes even trying to identify the notes to the melody, or sometimes creating your own little solo arrangements. You’ve embedded music into your own very soul. Now, some time later, even though you haven’t lost your passion for music, you’ve stopped playing and have put to sleep a piece of yourself. So, have you given up on that note? Or have you given up on you?

Forgetting your hobbies is like forgetting who you are and what you’re made of. You’ve realize you miss it, because you miss your old self.
I felt I had lost my music… Or so I thought.

“So grab that instrument and play it loud. Let your music be your sound. Though you’ve left it for a while… don’t you worry, just take it back.”
